Comparing with traditional methods the laser tracking system for 3D coordinate measurement based on multilateral principle possesses many advantages, such as high accuracy, large measuring range, and capability of flexible and real-time measurement. Furthermore, the multilateral principle also has other advantages, including the capability of self-calibration, self-recovering of lost information, error separation and compensation, and system rearrangement. This paper studies a key part of the measurement system - servo control system. Using FPGA technology designs a complete digital motor control system. The main works of this paper are as follow:1. The hardware circuit has been designed, including the location signal processing circuit; Signal AD converter circuit, AD Acquisition circuit and signal produce circuit and so on.2. Using Verilog HDL programmed FPGA, let FPGA achieve the function of the signal acquisition. We also designed a continuously adjustable pulse signal generator, which improve the system's reliability and stability; and also programmed to determine the motor's speed and direction.3. The system use C8051F microcontroller to configured FPGA,communicate with PC and make PID control algorithm.4. The motor controller has been designed using traditional and reliable PID algorithm. Regard location error signal as speed reference signal, motor speed signal as a feedback signal, formed a single closed loop speed control system.5. The experiment validated the characteristics of the tracking system. It has better tracking performance in about two meters range;...
