| Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN) based on IEEE802.11 is a new and booming branch in data communication, which has a promising future. Among the WLAN networks, the Access Point (AP) is the most important device, it connects the removeable host with Internet or other network, and transmits the frame between the WLAN and cable network. Its performance would affect therange and the throughput of the network greatly. Therefore, the research on this device is ofgreat significance for WLAN system.However, accroding to the present development of the WLAN market, the AP's access mode is the bottlenecks which can restrict the further development of the WALN.Based on the analysis of the limitation and causes of the current AP'access mode, a new method of wireless access is proposed,the analysis and explanation of the function,principle,designing and realization are also given by this paper.Firstly, the IEEE 802.11 protocols have been analyzed in detail;Accroding to the requirements of the AP realization, a hardware exploitation framework based on AR2315/2317 is proposed;Then,we set up a software exploition flatform based on Linux OS and a wireless driver based on Madwifi;On the basis of analysis of AP theory and function, we complete the design of AP system software framework and design the software module of AP service processing operation in detail.At last,parts of experiments and testings are made to prove the rationality and possibility of the designing. |
