This paper discusses the characteristics of the Floating Production Storage and Off-loading System (FPSO) fault diagnosis technology and the development in recent academic research, which is based on a large collection of the abroad and domestic scientific and technical. Based on multivariate statistical process control theory, make use of modeling theory and fault diagnosis methods of Principal Component Analysis(PCA) and Dynamic Principal Component Analysis(DPCA) to build up fault diagnosis system of FPSO typical production process.Make use of the fault diagnose method based on principal components analysis to researched the fault monitor and diagnose of FPSO. Selecting FPSO oil process 18 monitor variables as research object, to pretreated history data of normal operation condition, and to build up the principal components model. Applying the principal components model to researched system fault monitor and diagnose, judging the SPE statistic and Hotelling statistic to detected the fault. Make use of the principal components contribution diagram to diagnose the fault source. The result show: the fault diagnose method based on principal components analysis can realized FPSO earlier period fault monitor and diagnose accurately, the detection sensitivity of SPE statistics detection sensitivity is better than Hotelling statistics, and the capability of PCA fault diagnosis is better than the DPCA for the small disturbance.Building up FPSO typical production process fault diagnosis system include FPSO control system layer and OPC server layer and fault diagnosis system layer based on DPCA fault diagnosis algorithm and development platform of Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 and MATLAB 7.0. To establish historical data modules based on OPCDA and OPCHDA, to realized transmission and analysis and reproduction of the oil-gas-water separation system historical data.Make use of DPCA fault diagnosis algorithm to establish fault diagnosis module, finished oil-gas-water separation system fault detection and fault identification and fault isolation.Through simulated FPSO ESD system to establish fault decision module, achieved system fault alarm and control decision functions.
