Flight delay has been a world-wide problem seriously disturbing the air transportation industry at home and abroad. When flight delay occurs, how to rapidly restore flight to normal status, how to schedule flight delay restoration with optimal scheme and how to reduce the accumulation of flight delay and economic loss have become urgent requirements for civil aviation industry.Immune algorithm is a kind of intelligent algorithm based on biological immune system. It has the capability of identifying and adapting to the environment and characteristics such as studying and memorizing, and has been a powerful instrument to resolve complex problems. This paper applies immune algorithm to scheduling of rapid restoration of flight delay, carries out constructive researches. Main efforts include: analyzing the theories, models, characteristics, executing procedures and application of several types of currently representative immune algorithms; presenting the immune algorithm based on compromise method - Compromise Immune Algorithm, conducting simulation experiments with better results; presenting optimizing model of airport flight arrival and departure, conducting simulation experiments and verifying the effectiveness of the model; presenting scheduling model of flight delay restoration based on immune response mechanism, conducting simulation experiments concerning delay of flight departure and verifying the effectiveness of the model.
