In this paper basic features and design technique on density weighted array (DWA) are introduced. Synthesize method for DWA based on statistical related theory (SRT) and genetic algorithm (GA) is advanced, design of special required DWA is realized and theory of DWA is enriched. This method used organic combine of SRT with GA develops oneself advantages to the full, externally improves design effect on DWA shows widely practical future and higher engineering value.The analysis of traditional DWA is based on the statistical theory. It is often short of effect tricks when design of specially demanded beam. Based on statistical theory of DWA, this paper put to adopt idea on combine of related random algorithm with Genetic optimum, design DWA specially demanded on the vertical plane beam.Utilizing the method which is put forward by this paper, I designed and prepared two large phased array radar using DWA. The concise between theory patterns and tested patterns is good. The method on combine of related random algorithm with Genetic optimum, put by this paper, has extensive versatility. It not only improves properties of convention equidistance grid DWA, but also can use for design and synthesize on other types of DWA.
