Research Of MTF Test Technology With Point Light Source Method

As is known to all, how to evaluate the optical imaging systems is the question which we pay more attention to .While Modulation Transfer Function is recognizes as one of most effective and objective methods to evaluate optical imaging systems. With the equipment of TROPEL 2000, we start the investigation of MTF system. The main tasks are given as the followings:First of all, the development history, the application and testing technique of MTF are reviewed briefly. Then, the research background and the importance of the dissertation are explained.And then, theoretical study related to the MTF testing is introduced, such as specifying the physics concept of MTF, summarizing the testing methods of MTF and analyzing the testing principle.On the base of introducing the theory which is related, the principle of the testing and the system are introduced, the testing system is studied. The CCD device and the device which is used in the experiment are also introduced. And how to improve the performance is also introduced.The arithmetic of the testing system and how to process the test data are introduced, how to manipulate the testing system is introduced and point out the factors which affect the result.At the end, the whole work is summarized and some problems remaining to be solved are pointed out.
