With the rapid development of multimedia application technology such as video watch,visible telephone, TV conference and so on, more and more application systems are needed tomeet the requests that they can transmit the image data having been saved, and what's more, theyshould get the real-time dynamic picture information, and deal with the real-time information.Therefore, It becomes more and more important to gather the real-time video capture data inthese application systems.The paper discussed the design and the realization of the video capture system, andintroduced two kinds of practical video capture methods, VFW and Directshow. The maincontents of the thesis are as follows:1) This paper has studied the VFW application method. By using the VFW function inVC++6.0, this system has been completed the demonstration of dialog surface, used the AVICapwindow class function to provide one kind of simple method to visit video capture hardware.This system can conveniently integrate the video capture function in the application, gather thedigital video signal from the simulated video source, and save it to the document or directlyhandle it in video buffer.2) Manufacture method of Directshow module was studied, it includes mainly aboutdifferent functions of Filter as well as some knowledge about Windows COM programming. Thedissertation also presented the design of a DirectShow kinescope system, which was used on thekinescope terminal to receive and decode the stream, and to show the video image. Using theDirectShow architecture, the whole software system can be more modularized and facilitated forthe front end developing. The system development time was greatly reduced, compatibility andpracticability were also enhanced simultaneously with the help of VC++6.0 and COM technology.The purpose of this paper is designing a solution of video capture system with the advancedsoftware technique. The features of this solution are lowest, highest video/audio quality and,compatibility. This kinds of configurations which allow users to adjust and extend the function ofsoftware for the change of network condition.
