Simulation is an important area of research during the development of computer technology. Instruction Set Simulator (ISS) is a tool that simulates the target processor on Instruction-Set Architecture level, ISS not only help to validate the processor and compiler design and performance, but also used to evaluate the architecture design decision. Developing an ISS full manually is a heavy workload and error trend. The introduction of automatic generation technology greatly reduced the workload during ISS development. This paper researches automatic generation technology and adopts component-template technique to achieving the target processor's ISS automatically tectonic process. The implementation of ISS automatic generation tools accelerates the ISS development and improves its accuracy and flexibility. This paper lays a solid foundation for the future research in the field of simulation in laboratory.
