A Research On RAT (Reverse Auction Technology)-based Grid Resource Management Model

As a kind of advanced technology and infrastructure, grid is another major scientific and technological progress after the Internet, which is said to be the next generation network. Grid resource management is an important part of research on grid, economic-mechanism based grid resource management model is a new hot topic in current grid research. Focusing on gird resource management, the main work of this thesis are as follows:Grid QoS parameters Classification: Based on the quality of grid and the characteristics of QoS parameters, In this thesis, we classifies QoS parameters, among which soft QoS parameters are divided into four types for further quantitative research, then utility function is established using these four types of QoS parameters, so as to evaluate satisfaction degree of grid users.RAT (Reverse Auction Technology)-based resource management model: Based on the grid environment and the characteristics of RAT, RAT is introduced to grid resource management. We present A RAT-based resource management model, then its detail structure model, math model, as well as the workflow of this model are described. Finally an experiment is presented to testify the validity of the model for grid resource management.Research on grid simulation: In this thesis, we establish a grid simulation based on the computational economy by developing GridSim, a grid simulation tool. And through simulation experiments, the model above is proved to be effective and rational in grid resource management.
