With the development of CNC (Computer Numeric Control) techniques, the Servo Control System, which takes the DSP (Digital Signal Processor) as the core processor, is widely applied in the fields such as CNC etc. Presently, the products of domestic Servo Controller mainly take the 16 bits DSP as the central processor. Because of the limit of its running speed and its word length, it is difficult to fulfill the complicated mathematic arithmetic and the higher respond speed and control precision.Under this requirement and background, the author does the studies and developments for the Servo Controller, which takes the 32 bits high speed DSP TMS320F2812 as the core processor.In this paper, it introduced the design and implementation of the Servo Controller through several points as bellow.First, it introduced the basic Architecture of Servo Controller system, the sectional function and characteristic of the Servo Controller. Second, it introduced the fundamental techniques, of the servo control arithmetic, and it analyzed the fundamental of the servo control arithmetic. Third, it detailedly introduced some functional modules of TMS320F2812. Forth, it took the hardware realization of this system as the emphasis. Fifth, in the part of software design, it told the realization of software design based on the multi-duty real-time operating system core DSP/BIOS. Finally, it gave a comparison between the 16 bits Servo Controller and the 32 bits Servo Controller. Meanwhile, it brought forward the default of this system, and made a prospect of the future work.
