Radio channel is the basis of wireless communication. As the bandwidth and frequency is getting wider and higher, radio channel measurement and modeling is becoming more challengeable. The thesis focuses on the channel measurement and modeling technique in wideband and high frequency under the support of national high-tech research and development program. The characteristic of radio channel can be classified into large scale and small scale effect. The measurement method for large and small scale effect is introduced first. The automatic measurement system is then development based on the measurement method. The measurements are carried out in urban, urban hotspot, LOS, and NLOS scenarios at 3.5GHz. The measurement and modeling results includes path loss models, first and second order statistic of radio channel, multipath distribution, maximum delay spread, and Ricean K factor. The results derived in this thesis are useful in system transceiver design, frame design, network plan and so on.
