Gear mechanism is one of the transmission mechanisms that is widely used,and hobbing is a most used machining method of gear manufacture. With the wide use of harden gear in our country,the hobbing condition is worse off and the vibration is more intense which results in the accuracy and efficiency of hobbing decreases distictly. Stable motion,high transmissin accuracy and low noise are the most foundmental requirement to gear transmission mechanism. Vibration will have a bad influence on gear machining. How to reduce the vibration is the most important problem of precise machining of hobbing and shaving for harden gears.The paper carrys on vibration characteristic analysis and simulation for the important parts and the whole hobbing machine of Y3150E by means of theoretical analysis and computer simulation.Firstly,the vibration model and equations are founded. On the basis of vibration modeling,the paper deals with the influence of machining force,stiffness,damp and cutter parameters on machining vibrations. The paper researchs the key technology of vibration simulation of hobbing and shaving for harden gears and realizes the seamless intergration of Pro/E,ANSYS and ADAMS.Secondly,the 3-dimensional model of the hobbing system is founded by means of Pro/E software. In Ansys software,the vibration charateristics of important parts are computed out by using finite element method. Its very helpful to avoid resonance of the process system. In addition,the paper analyzes the frequency-response characteristics of the cutter shaft and its influence on machining accuracy and surface finish.Finally,the dynamic performances and vibration of the hobbing machine are analyzed by ADAMS and its vibration model. The curves of the cutters velocity,acceleration,forces and the vibration mode of the whole hobbing machine are computed out under different machining conditions. On the basis of simulation analysis, the paper points out:increasing the fore angle and the number of the cutter teeth,reduceing cutting forces,enhancing the stiffness and damp and make the excitations frequency avoid the systems natural frequency are valid measures to reduce the machining vibration. At the same time,simulation results lay a solid foundtion for further opitimization design of the process system.
