Research And Implement Of Host Intrusion Prevention System

Windows has the absolute advantage in the desktop operating system share of the global market, coupled with its own weaknesses; the Windows OS has become an important target of hackers, so people pay more attention to the security of Windows OS. Due to the lagging response, traditional security scheme such as firewall associated with intrusion detection system can not meet the security needs, intrusion protection system appears. Intrusion Protection System absorbs the merits as well as the mature technologies of Intrusion Detection System. As a typical security product, it can block attacks source before the OS is attacked.This paper focuses on the research of host security technology as well as the implement of host intrusion protection system. First of all, the limitations of the current common security products are analyzed on a technical level, and the necessary of host intrusion protection system is also mentioned. Then a set of host intrusion protection system is designed on the basis of the in-depth study on host intrusion protection systems technology and its future development trends. The HIPS prevents viruses, Trojans, worms and other malicious software from endangering the Windows OS by synthetically monitoring the behaviors of the system (process, registry, and file).In this paper, the content is closely related with the project practice; the above-mentioned technologies are selected from the different options by members of the project team, and proved to be practical in the actual project development process. Therefore, the scheme has research value at the same time has practical value.On the basis of implementation of the project this paper proposes a new improvement program projects to consummate the inadequacy of the scheme project that is using self-learning neural network algorithm in the matching and decision-making process.Finally, the development trend of host intrusion protection system and several research focuses study are given.
