Visualization in scientific computing (ViSC) is a new subject put forward by developed countries at the end of 1980s. Via computer graphics techniques, it transforms data produced by scientific computing into geometric graphics or images so that they can be displayed on screens and be manipulated interactively. Now ViSC has become a strong tool for the discovery and understanding of many scientific phenomena.Vector field visualization technique is one of the most challenging application domains in scientific visualization. One of the main reasons is that no natural visual representation exists for vector fields, especially for three-dimensional vector fields. Vector field visualization provides a powerful means for researcher to understand the complex phenomena hidden in the gigabytes of data. Although the form and the applicable scope are different, the vector field visualization has many kinds of methods which are divided into the spot, the line, the surface, based on the analysis suits and based on texture etc. Among them representative's line expressed the way which can promulgate the trend of the flow field well. It is the foundation of realization of stream belt, stream pipe, stream interface and other expression method Therefore, the research on this method is a hot spot.This paper do some research in formation and development of scientific visualization, and describe the methods and procedures and some mapping ways of vector visualization .And, this paper do deep research on visualization technique based on streaming line. It does research on feed point layout in flow lines of visualization. Focused on the situation of topological analysis technology in vector visualization, this paper present visualization method based on physics characteristics. We can obtain characteristics region in some threshold by calculation.,and layout feed points in these regions, and then we can get flow characteristics in these areas by flow lines obtained. This paper achieved good results by adopting this method on the specific ocean data.
