This article mainly introduces a whole design plan of Master-slave control system based on PC and Multi-single chip. This article expatiates on the design of the system from both hardware and software. In relation to hardware, the principle and realization of the sub-circuits of system are particularly introduced; In relation to software, the serial communication between the upper PC and the lower single-chip is introduced in detail and the design of man-computer interface is also realized.This design realizes an intelligent control system. The upper PC mainly realizes real-time monitor on the each lower single-chip and performs following functions: parameter setting, data display, storing, print, etc. The lower single-chips can accomplish missions of real-time control, such as data gathering, transmitting and so on. The system resolves a problem which the resource of computer is greatly wasted, because a computer controls a mechanical model. The whole system attain the goal that many lower single-chips simultaneously controlled by one computer, each lower single-chip can perform testing independently and does not interface with each other.This article introduces the principle of RS-485 Bus network and serial communication between a computer and many MCU briefly. On this foundation, a communication system based on the RS-485 bus is designed and the communication protocol between the upper PC and the lower single-chip is studied and formulated. Physical layer communication protocol applies RS-485 interface standards: PC serial interface standard through RS232/485 converter circuit will be converted to RS-485 standard level and communicate with the lower single-chip; the lower single-chip' TTL level will be converted to RS-485 standard level through MAX485 chip. Then the system mainly consists of a computer, 8051 single-chips and electric switch chip, which are very popular on present market. The upper PC communication software uses the development tool of Visual Basic 6.0 to program in the windows environment, and the lower single-chip communication software uses assembly language to program, therefore, serial data communication between upper and lower computers are realized. This system has good practicality.
