As is well known, the CIE color system have important meaning and application in the realm of color printing and copying. In the electronic age, along with various electronic products and technology emerged and developed, the CIE color system also need to get into the electronic age. It will necessarily become the major and supporting point of the development of the color printing and copying going digital and net in the days, and will have great significance in this revolution.This paper elaborates the principles, methods and process of the 2°visual field CIE xyY and Lab color space model's 3D emulator on a computer. The aspects of main researched have:1, ascertain the color area of the CIE xyY color space. Commence from the CIE theories, attach energy analysis, scoop out the theoretical content deeply and put forward a reasonable establishment way of the CIE xyY color space. 2, build up the 3D model. Sampling the CIE color space data, learn from reverse engineering's idea and method and improve the reconstruction algorithms of scan line data according to the subject's need. 3, use VC, Matlab, OpenGL etc. tools and combine UML, COM etc. techniques to achieve the 2°visual field CIE xyY and Lab color space 3D model's establishment, control and cut and color value's conversion.This subject focused on the CIE color system, researched the CIE color system's expression and contact to the digital color by new view, the conclusions and results that this subject gained have some academic value and useful effort for aftertime research.
