One of the key factors to improve the performance is that how to manage resources effectively in OFDM. The paper mainly researches the adaptive algorithm's application in OFDM system, which is also called the dynamic resource allocation.First, the mobile communication's situation, and the development, advantages and disadvantages, basic principle of OFDM are discussed. Then the paper introduces the conception of dynamic resource allocation, and discusses and researches the resource allocation algorithm in ideal condition. After that more researches are made on the power and bit allocation algorithms for practical single-user OFDM systems. Based on the greedy and CHOW algorithm, whose calculation is relative complex, the paper designs a simplying practical single-user power and bits allocation algorithm to reduce the complication of calculating and improve the resource allocation's efficiency, and use MATLAB to simulate the algorithm,and the results proved it.After researching the best algorithms in theory and nowadays ACG sub-best algorithms, the paper gives an improved allocation algorithm to deal with the fair of the multi-users'resource allocation, and makes the allocation progress much more justice. In this allocation progress, a justice factor is brought in, and with the factor the justice is improved. Simulation has done to prove that the algorithm has the performance close to the multi-user water-filling algorithm which is a joint allocation algorithm and has the lower computational complexity than it. The improved algorithm is much suit to use in actual systems.
