In this thesis, 3-phase 4-wire parallel active power filter (APF) has been took for study, the compensation capacity of its main circuit topologies has been took for quantitative analysis, and it's pointed out that the four-arm bridge topology has several advantages compared to other structures. The output voltage of the four-arm bridge topology APF has been took for space vector analysis, and the mathematical model that The output voltage can be divided into symmetrical component and zero-sequence component is put forward, the idea that they can also be separately controlled is put forward,and the inter - mechanism of how the symmetrical component and zero-sequence component impact each other is pointed out too. On this basis,a fixed frequency hysteresis control strategy used in three-phase three-wire parallel APF has been took for controlling the symmetrical component of the APF's output voltage, and the design method of some parameters of the strategy has been improve in. On the basis of the above conclusions ,a design method for parameters of APF main circuit has been put forward, the method can be used in practical projects. Based on application of PSCAD / EMTDC and RTDS, of the simulation model of APF has been established, the results of simulation show the correctness and effectiveness of the theory.
