At presently, the technique of data compression has been already got a success application in many aspects on home and oversea market. Taking the remote noise data as the object of the research, the paper discussed the application of lossless data compression technology in the field of data acquisition. Firstly, the paper introduced the development of remote measurement and compression technology on home and oversea market, and the working content of the research. Secondly, it presented the programme of data compression of data acquisition system in the mass, which was described by data compression device. Thirdly, The main device of data compression were set down after comparing the several kinds of the programme of data compression, and the data compression device was illuminated by taking DSP+CPLD as the frame of data compression. Fourthly, It presented three concept of the judgment of the data compression efficiency: the remove ratio of the compression,compression speed,synthesized compression efficiency. Finally, several lossless compression algorithms were detailed one by one, including Huffman coding, stroke coding, arithmetic coding, dictionary coding. After studying the codes deeply, ARC arithmetic was used to deal with the real-time noise signal based on the simulation and experiment.The compression flow of ARC algorithm was deeply discussed after identifying ARC as the real-time remote measurement data compression algorithm, and tested the experimental data when the algorithm is planted to the DSP hardware systems. The results showed that effect of the algorithm to the remote measurement data noise lossless compression is obviously, which can meet the requirements of the subject.
