TD-SCDMA is a 3rd Generation mobile communication standard proposed by China, it assumes some advanced techniques which made it high performance and spectrum efficiency. For 3G network construction is about to be initialized by Chinese government, TD-SCDMA must make an important role then: This article is aimed at analyzing and evaluating TD-SCDMA system performance with the help of NS-2 simulation software. This article first make an overview of the development of 3rd Generation mobile communication and TD-SCDMA system, then give some necessary background of QoS technology. At CN side, DiffServ scheme is deeply researched and related simulation is done based on the research; at RAN side, for the problem of TCP protocol applied in wireless environment, Snoop scheme is configured in the Base Station and made some improvement, in the following, conclusion is given through simulation. At last, an intuitionistic feeling will be presented through a testing of a TD-SCDMA data card. The prominent characteristic of the 3rd Generation mobile communication system is the support of multi services such as voice,data,multi-media etc. As the difference between different services, the bear requirement is also different, so various control and transmission method is required to make sure the QoS performance for different services. As a result, QoS is an important question in the 3rd Generation mobile communication system. This article gives an introduction of QoS conception, structure and service classify of TD-SCDMA system, and then aimed at CN and RAN, proposed related solution respectively, in the following, an wired-and-wireless mixed environment is constructed and simulation is made by NS-2 software, in the end, conclution is given based on the research and simulation.
