With the development of information technology, the traditional EAI technology cannot meet the requirement of enterprise system upgrade and development due to compact coupling among enterprise application systems. Besides, the traditional EAI technology mainly emphasizes on information sharing and communication inside the enterprise while sustains application integration among enterprises poorly, which cannot fit for the extremely increasing demand of EC and heterogeneous network environment.The Web Service technology based on XML is a fast developing technology these years, which is regarded as the third information technology evolution. Web Service uses SOAP messages based on XML form to carry on data exchange, uses WSDL files to describe the interfaces, issues and finds out Service through UDDI registration center, thus realizes the loose integration of business function. These characteristics are very ideal for connecting business function through Web Service among and in enterprises. With characteristics of protocol currency, platform independency and language independency, Web Service will fetch up to EAI.On the basis of analyzing those traditional EAI solutions, this thesis studies the EAI based on Web Service using new J2EE technology, proposes an EAI framework based on Web Service, and implement a Web Service example based on Apache Axis. Specifically, the main works in this thesis can be included as below: Firstly, analyzing the common issues existing in the current EAI solutions, according to the characteristics and types of EAI, anatomizing the advantages of Web Service compared with the traditional EAI technology. Secondly, researching and discussing the technology of Web Service, and also discussing other technologies involved such as XML, SOAP, WSDL and UDDI. Thirdly, based on theory analysis, coming up with a framework that Web Service is applied to module communication, application integration inside enterprise and application integration among enterprises. Fourthly, Using J2EE technology, based on open source framework Apache Axis, developing an example of Web Service. Finally, making some summaries, some appraisals and prospects to the research work of this thesis. We wish this thesis would provide valuable viewpoints and suggestions, and be beneficial to domestic studies and applications of Web Service.
