Based on the advantage and the great development of optical measurement and the disadvantage of the aircraft navigation equipment at present, the method used to guide the aircraft landing is researched in this paper. The design of optical measurement landing system is presented detailedly, and simulation experiment in the lab is carried out. The influence of the defocus on the optical measurement is studied, and the experiment of the aircraft landing aid system based on the optical measurement in the airfield is carried out, the result of comparing the data from GPS and the data from optical measurement system indicated the real-time, stable and precise features of the aircraft landing aid system based on the optical measurement. The main work and achievements of this paper are summarized as follows:1. Landing aid system optical measurement is detailedly designed and validated by experiment, including the aim of designing the system, general requirement, the system general design, camera field design, the target catching and tracking, and the simutation experiment in the lab.2. The change law of the several fixed focus lens aberration with the change of aperture and object distance is summarized by experiment. The influence of the defocus on the optical measurement is introduced, and the method detecting least defocuse circle which has no influence to the extracting precise is presented, and the validity of the method is validated by experiment.3. The experiment of the aircraft landing aid system based on the optical measurement in the airfield is carried out, the methods of how to chose lens and decide the point at which the camera group will be switched are discussed. And the far field camera calibration is carried out, and the real-time, stable and precious feature of the aircraft landing aid system based on the optical measurement is validated.4. The project of the near field calibration and far field measurement is researched, the possibility of near field calibration and far field measurement in theory is analysed, and the feasibility of near field calibration and far field measurement is proved by trial.
