Optimizing structure is very important for organic light-emitting diode (OLED). The article discussed two aspects: one is that several kinds of functional layers, such as electron transport layer(ETL), hole transport layer(HTL) and emitting layer(EML) were mixed as one layer, then we discussed the technic of adulteration; the other is organic-inorganic hybrid structure. Finally, the research discussed their mechanism and characteristic of luminance, respectively.1) The device with mixed layerMixing 4-(dicyanomethylene)-2-t-butyl-6(1,1,7,7-tetramethyljulolidyl-9-enyl)-4H-pyran(DCJTB), 4,4'-bis[N-(l-naphthyl)-N-phenylamino]biphenyl(NPB) and tris-(8-hydroxy-quinolinato) aluminum(Alq3) as one layer and studying its characteristic. It can be infer that the device mixed with DCJTB, NPB and Alq3 is brighter and has higher efficiency than device only mixed with DCJTB and Alq3. The article also discussed what led to the phenomenon. Owing to mixed technology is a relatively difficult in manufacturing OLED, the article discussed the key process in mixed technology.2) The organic-inorganic hybrid structureMaterials of interfacial modification of cathode (anode) usually were inserted between organic material and electrode to optimize diodes' performance. However, the research neglected the pattern and adopted the new structure to optimize their performance. KC1, LiF and SiO2 was inserted in NPB(HTL), respectively. It can be found that the device with a thin buffer layer in NPB is brighter and more efficiency than the device without it. At the same time, the research found that the structure with two layers SiO2(ITO/SiO2/NPB/SiO2/NPB/Alq3/Al) has different characteristic compared to only insert KC1, LiF and SiO2 into NPB. Consequently, the paper discussed what led to the phenomenon and suggested the new way to manufacture the OLED.
