Biometrics,which refers to the identification of a person by certain biological features such as fmgerprint,iris,face and palmprint or behavioral features. Palmprint recognition and verification are gaining popularity and diverse applications for the reason that they are considerd to be non-invasive,low cost, and natural biometric technologies.This thesis presents a new method to get the palmprint feature and a improvement way on construction of palmprint database. Then the key technologies for palmprint identity authentication are studied. At last we realize two identity authentication system, the one is on-line palmprint identity authentication system;the other is a palmprint identification system with smart card. The main contents are as follows:1. Palmprint location. A new location method based on small templet matching is presented to get the palmprint feature.2. A improvement method on construction of palmprint database in order to reduce thetime of palmprint registration.3. We validate a new method to judge of palmprint recognition algorithms by a small palmprint dase.4. Realization of on-line palmprint registration and authentication system. Because of some problem in the field of network palmprint authentication system, we come true a authentication system based on palmprint and smart card technology. Experimental results show that the two systems are effective,so it is possible to use them in the computer department of college. |
