This paper studies IEEE802.16e OFDMA system synchronization and related technology. According to the characteristics related to the preamble in IEEE 802.16e OFDMA system, an improved method about the maximum peak's detection and treatment is used to determine the frame initial position with a good estimate. About the fine synchronization, the paper analyzes preamble's characters of centre conjugate symmetric in time domain and the corresponding Bhatt's algorithm. In order to overcome the shortcoming that the algorithm has much more complexity in the multi-path channel, an improved method by increasing the correlation distance of data to reduce the number of correlation peaks is proposed which is relatively more precise to the original algorithm. This paper studies the carrier synchronization algorithms of IEEE802.16e OFDMA system in time and frequency domain. When the data pass the filter in frame, the impact of the noise on the fraction frequency offset estimation can be reduced. Based on analysis of the integer carrier frequency offset estimation and cell search algorithms, an improved algorithm with good performance in low complexity compared to the original algorithm is proposed. Finally, this paper analyzes the CINR algorithm based on sliding average window channel estimation and the other one based on similarity character of the adjacent pilot sub-carriers channel. The corresponding improved algorithm measuring PUSC zone in IEEE802.16eOFDMA system is proposed.
