The present research aimed at investigating the propagation of electromagnetic waves inside the building and to obtain a thorough of 2.2 GHz band technologies by characterizing the 2.2 GHz band communication channel. Following the characterizing of building materials the mechanisms of electromagnetic wave propagation and the effect of parameters on these mechanisms are presented. Ray-tracing model has been used to simulate the indoor radio channel. The influence of the different place of the receiver on the indoor radio channel characteristics has been performed. Signal level, time delay-spread and coherence band width are given for different values of permittivity and conductivity. Simulations were made in the indoor enviroment of factory and laboratory, in the same order of reflection .In indoor environment ,channel variations which occur most ,frequently are due to the local movements of receiver arounds a given locations. Important information about spatial and short time variations for multipath received power and time delay-spread in indoor environments is presented and the analysis for the result is gived.
