The stable platform of ship-borne radar is researched in this paper; its motion is analyzed and simulated respectively with and without the existence of backlash, and several control strategies influencing the elimination of backlash is deduced..By using Lagrange-Maxwell equations, electromechanical-dynamic equation of ship-borne stable platform is established without the existence of backlash at first; dynamic analysis of radar's tracking system is applied and the motion of the stable platform is simulated in MATLAB combined with double-loop PID control strategy. Then dynamic model of the stable platform is established and simulated with backlash included, and the influence of backlash on system is known by the comparison of these two conditions. At last, several compensating algorithms is introduced to eliminate the influence of backlash on the system.
