This paper does research on the workflow engine, applies the theory of aspect-oriented software engineering, uses the methods of UML visualized modeling, and implements aspect-oriented workflow engine with iterative-increamental software development. Firstly, in the context, some key contents are studied, such as the requirements of aspect-oriented WFE, concern identification. UML visualized modeling used for the architecture of workflow engine and scheduler of WFE kernel. WFE is implemented in hierarchical architecture and modules, each parts of workflow engine are described, and the executive process of workflow engine is analyzed. It is in used for the iterative-increamental software development process of aspect-oriented WFE. Secondly, three-dimensional space is presented the process, it characterizes the process path and states of execution, this way helps capture the concerns of WFE. This paper provides aspect-oriented detachment of controls, it detaches the controls and operational process , it could avoid tangled code and scattered code in WFE transfer. Thirdly, an industrial implementation experience on aspect-oriented WFE is briefly presented, then it is tested and performed evaluation. Finally, the full text of a summary and perspective are in detail.
