The subject of the target tracking in the infrared alarm system has been studied in this paper, focusing on the state estimation , tracking start, maintain and tracking termination. The components of the target tracking system have been briefly introduced.Firstly, the state estimation of target tracking is summarized in a point of systemic view, and a summary of the techniques of the state estimation appeared in both domestic and foreign publications are provided. The state estimations algorithm for Target tracking have been studied and compared such as Kalman filter, Extented Kalman filter and Unscented Kalman filter.Second, to the difficult problems of maneuvering target tracking , two method , One is to examine the maneuver in the tracking and another is self-adaptive tracking algorithm without examining the maneuver, have been studied. With the number of target movement model increasing, the results of the target tracking will become worse. In order to solve this problem, the variable structure multi-mode filtering (VS-IMM) has been studied deeply.Finally, VS-IMM has been used in a real Infrared target tracking system. Computer simulation indicates that this algorithm for passive tracking maneuvering target is effective and feasible. |
