The solar energy is an ideal renewable energy. In these years, many countries are working on the R&D of solar industry. It has become an important national strategic decision of continual development to exploit and utilize the solar energy. Analysis indicated shows that receiving rate of pointing device is lower as 35% than the tracking device, and in all current device conversion rate roughly is 10%~20%. Therefore, based on study of principle of the existing solar tracking device, and work on the related subject of Institute of Robotics and Intelligent Information Processing, we finally develop a cheap solar tracking control system with good performance based on DSP.By analyzing the principle of the solar tracking devices in nation and oversea, a solar tracking system which its elevation and azimuth is adjusted separately was designed in this dissertation. The DSP was used to control the rotation angle and control the step motor by sending off the pulse. So, the system can control the tracking device to be the optimal place which is lighted by sun in the day.According to the requirements of the design function, the main program module, sun angle calculation module, the control of step motor module and other module are designed by CCS. By use of real time clock, the system can calculate the sun elevation angle and azimuth in the day. In the night, the system can be reposition automatically and return to the original position.In the area of the selection and configuration of hardware components, TMS320LF2407A DSP made by TI Co. is the core of DSP module , and the circuit design principle of DSP's external hardware is presented. The system includes two sets of 42BYGH step motor, and the step motor drive module includes AT89C2051 and L293D. The real time clock of X1226 provides real time to system. The control circuit, hardware structure and selection of the system hardware are discussed.The hardware and software experiments show that the proposed control method, and the design of the solar tracking controller's hardware and software is practicable. It has the advantages such as simple structure, running smoothly and high tracking precision.
