Solid-State Heat Capacity Laser(SSHCL) is a novel laser structure owning advantages of high output power, high quality of light beam, compact structure and easily realize power amplified in scale , which develops rapidly in recent and becomes a potential method to realize electricity-excited energy-saving high power intensity light. Therefore, SSHCL plays more and more important roles in industry.This letter presents the development state, fundamental theory and technology, makeworks on theoretical analysis and calculate, includes: the factors that influencing energy conversion efficiency; the temperature and stress distribution in the materials of lasers when it output at the heat capacity mode; and the contribution that stress distribution influenced by doping content and so on. Basing on that, we design a schematic prototype of heat capacity laser with single elliptical light-gathering structure; design one resonance cavity and analyse the heat-controlled system. The long axis and eccentricity of ellipse we designed are 2 a—44mm, e =0.45;Selecting Nd.YAG as working material, its size defined F5×50mm,we use pulsed-xenon lamp as pumping source, the size of lamp arc is F5×50mm,crystal bar and lamp are lay on the focal spot of elliptic. After all components are processed, post assembling of all parts and debugging system, we do some preliminary experiment. We gain laser output at the heat capacity operation, and analyse the result of our experiment, obtain some performance.The realization of laser output at heat capacity operation, is new advance of solid-state laser, show the great vitality and brightly prospect of application...
