In order to satisfy the integrated optical gyroscopes' needs, this paper presents the numerical analysis of rectangular waveguide which is the most basic component of it, and also carried a simulation through programming using computer software, thus led to an optimized designation for rectangular waveguide components.This paper builds the theoretical model based on FD-BPM and Oblique Wide Angle Beam Propagation. Based on this model, with boundary condition, we simulated the optical field's propagation of rectangular waveguide and Y-Branch, after that we studied the trait of optical field in rectangular waveguide, analyzed and discussed factors influencing the propagation, and furthermore compared the results with those in related papers.The results showed that it was precise when we used FD-BPM to simulate the optical waveguide devices and this provided an excellent theoretical model and technical guidance to the integrated optical gyroscopes. |
