In the laser communication, the searching, pointing and tacking automatically for the laser beam, namely the APT (Acquisition, Pointing and Tacking) technique which is a very important and pivotal. But in the laser communication of APT technique, the position error signal's distill is very important, correspondingly, the choice of the detector seem to be to importance .Currently in the APT system the use of detector mostly the CCD image sensor. But the CMOS image sensor has advantage of the high integration degree and low power waste compare to the CCD image sensor. At present, the CMOS image sensor is developing toward to high delicacy degree,high distinguish degree and high dynamic range。The CMOS image sensor who has numerous advantages must instead of the CCD image sensor.Therefore, the adoption of the CMOS image sensor as the detector of the APT system will have great significance for raising the APT system's pointing precision,real time,the integration degree and quality compare to capability of system etc.. In this text we use the CMOS image sensor as the pointing and tacking sensitive detector automatically in the laser correspondence of the APT system, and carry on the analysis and research on the CMOS image sensor in the APT system for the raise of precision.
