These years, the service-oriented computing (SOC) becomes one of the research hotspot in software field; its core idea is to exchange components between different software, and to build the loose coupling software system. Web service is the basic component of SOC, and also SOC includes a series of standard protocols. There are a lot of aspects about SOC, and the most important one is the issue about Web service composition. The description of the Web service composition is: a complex requirement can not be resolved by one simple Web service, but can be done by the composition of some different Web services. The Web service composition includes two kinds of questions: (1) how to compose the different Web services ;( 2) how to execute the composition of Web services. This paper pays more attention on the former one, it is, how to compose the different simple Web services, and make the Web service a multiple larger granularity. The detailed researches are as following:1. Putting forward a Web service composition model WSC-CTPN based on Petri-net theory. In this model, importing time set to figure the spring time condition of the Web service; importing color set to figure different kinds of Web services. It can also describe, analyze, validate and simulate the Web service composition by this model.2. Bringing out the basic transition structure and operation method, and provide the method to detect the safety, reach ability and deadlock.3. Bringing out the dynamic running rules of the WSC-CTPN, and its executable semantic. By performing the dynamic rules we can simulate the model.
