Along with the computer network application popularization, the software performance is even more important. At the same time, the application system complexity causes the guarantee software system performance to change extremely difficultly. How carries on the testing or the confirmation to the software performance, continuously lacks the mature theory or the method. In view of this presentsituation, this article attempts proposed the independent test process model, by producing the manual to the software performance testing process and the method, and the union actual case, to the process model which proposed has carried on the confirmation.At first, this article introduces concept of the software performance, and constructs the software performance structural model, which is integrated with the software performance indicators and the performance influence factors. Then, the deficiencies and deviations are found out with analysis of the current software performance testing process. The software performance testing model is produced. This process model divides the software performance testing work into the supporting process and the basic testing process. The basic testing process divides into four stages—the testing demand analysis, the testing design, and the testing execution, the testing result analyzing. Afterwards, in view of the basic testing process four stages, the concrete manual has been produced to provide the instruction for each stage work. Finally, a bank software testing case, defines the working flow and the method according to the performance testing process model, has carried on the testing demand analysis, the testing design, the testing execution and the testing result analysis. Through the actual case, the testing process model, the software performance model and the testing process method has been certified.
