At present, the environment problem caused by energy and energy consumption has become one of the important restrictions to realize sustainable development of our country's economy and society. Therefore, it's more important to use energy effectively while developing new energy unceasingly.Energy storage is an important way to realize highly effective using of energy. The flywheel storage technology is that the flywheel storage system stores energy as kinetic energy by revolving flywheel in high speed drived by motor with power grid,and releases energy when energy lacks urgently.It is simple,direct,and has high density of power and energy storage.It basically has no limit to the time of charging and discharging and transforms in high efficiency with no environmental pollution. It also has simple maintenance,long using life,disperse layout nearby and needs small area without geographical constraints.In brief,it's a new mechanical energy storage technology with prospects of widespread application. In the flywheel storage system, the flywheel motor is the key part to control the entire flywheel storage system.It accelerates to store the energy and decelerates to generate electricity.It can contol the flowing of energy through controlling the speed of the flywheel motor.The paper chose permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) as the flywheel motor according to the character of the flywheel storage system.First,the structure, movement pattern and control pattern of the flywheel storage system are analyzed. The frame of the contronl system is designed at the basis of mathematical model of PMSM and basic theory of vector control.The simulation model of PMSM control system is built in MATLAB.The feasibility of the simulation model is proved.Then,because the flywheel motor has non-linearity, close coupling and time-variance and the system also receives disturbance in varying degrees,it is difficult for traditional PID controller to achieve satisfactory control effect of higher precision. So the paper research into the intelligent control to flywheel store system.The theory of fuzzy logic control and neural network is elaborated detailedly.The fuzzy self-adjusting PID controller and BP neural network PID controller are designed and used as the speed controller of current and speed double loops PMSM vector control system.The simulation results prove that the system has good dynamic performance and robustness.At last,an improved algorithm is proposed on the basic theory of the particle swarm optimization,and used to optimize the parameter of PID controller of the flywheel motor.The simulation results show the improved algorithm has good effect of optimization and constringency characteristic.
