The management of the natural gas pipeline and the station's technology process information of Dagang oilfield related to all aspects of the pipeline and its subsidiary stations'operating conditions, maintained situation, the security situation. Therefore, the article puts forward to using Web GIS to construct a"visualized system of the natural gas pipeline and the station's process information. The system uses Web GIS to set up a model of the natural gas and the station to combine the attribute information and the spatial information of the natural gas and the station, to realize visual description, analysis and statistics of the natural gas pipeline's actualities and the station's operating condition, so as to improve the management efficiency, lower maintained costs.The development of the system adopts Object-Oriented Analysis, and sets up the system's required models. The system model adopts a flexible B/S structure, map platform adopts the MapXtreme map server, the map Middleware adopts the technology of Java Applet and uses MapBasic to realize using the spatial information of the pipeline and the station; The system uses ASP and JavaScript to realize the function of the client's inquiring management and the operation of the database.The successful applying of the system not only improved the efficiency and quality of the natural gas but also efficiently promotes the construction of digital oilfield and digital natural gas, Therefore it has extensive economic benefits and promoting value to other natural gas companies.The article explains the basic theories of Web GIS and the related technologies of MapInfo which is the twice platform of the system. At length, it describes the key technologies the system used. Through the technologies, the system can realize computerized management of the pipeline and the station's daily information, and at the same time it can monitor the station's running conditions and data. Thus it can reduce the workload of the oilfield's daily management, speed up informatization of the oilfield management, realize true"visualization"of the oilfield management.
