With the yield development of coal mine , more and more attentions are paid to safety, high yield, high efficiency and energy saving , and electrical drive systems are demanded by mine-used equipment more highly. Frequency converters are used and extended widely in the electrical drive system of mine-used for its predominant capacity of speed regulation. Capacity of Explosion suppression is needed when frequency converters are used underground the coal mines , for explosible risk of firedamp and coal dust exists underground the coal mines . In order to realize the purpose of explosion suppression , the use of mine-used frequency converters muse be placed in the shells which have capacity of explosion suppression .However, the problem of self -heat diffusion for Frequency converters , laid in the shell of explosion suppression , became the main contradiction in the R&D for frequency converters of explosion suppression due to their airtight working condition. The paper carries out analysis and research on heat yielding of frequency converters. The type of heat loss by forced water circulation cooling and air cooling is advanced though the comparison of heat loss modes of water cooling, air cooling and heat pipe. The problem of heat diffusion for frequency converter s of explosion suppression has been solved though theoretic computation and concrete structural design of heat loss system of forced water circulation plus air coolingIn allusion to the style of forced water circulation cooling and air cooling . the concrete structural style of explosion suppression and the capacity of explosion suppression of mine-used frequency converters are analyzed , some crucial elements in the joint-plates are analyzed though the FEA , though which we obtain the relatively accurate results that can meet the need of capacity of frequency converters for explosion suppression.
