With the growing of the information system in modern enterprises, some enterprise applications have been requested more highly. They are required not only to improve the information share in an enterprise, but also to enhance the adaptability of change from external request for an enterprise. Moreover, the SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) have the characteristics of loose coupling and independent of the platform, and help to resolve the problems of both integration and adaptability of modern enterprise applications. At present more enterprise applications have been decided to migrate to the SOA, but the methods used by the migration now have some shortages. They can not build up a right SOA system that makes use of the legacy systems effectively.Based on study of the existing methods of migration to SOA for enterprise applications, a new method of migration was proposed, which consisted of the top-down process and the bottom-up process, and centered"services"based on relationship between service and business process. This approach combined the current methods of SOAD (Service-Oriented Analysis and Design) and the conventional methods of software reengineering. During the migration, some processes of SOAD were done firstly to depict the architecture of SOA system, such as Domain Analysis, Subsystem Analysis and Service identification. Then aiming at this architecture, the legacy systems were done with several reengineering processes, like access and recombination, in order to build up these services of the architecture. Finally the migration to SOA was completed. This approach thought carefully about the requests of the SOA system and the state of the legacy system, used the SOA to assemble the reused components with reason, and benefited both the result and the cost of migration. Finally a sample of actual engineering, a enterprise business system for supply chain, was described to introduce the key steps and results of the method of migration to the SOA.This sample showed the validity and maneuverability of this method. So this method of migration to the SOA has some senses of theory and practice for information applications in modern enterprises...
