Experiment is an important approach of scientific research,and experiment teaching is an essential part of the engineering education. With the diversification of engineering educational styles and the enlargement of the university enrollment,normal experiment teaching methods can not meet the demand of the teaching. Hence it is dramatically important to pursue new teaching models,and it is a good way to build up a platform to share and collaborate experiment resources via Internet. Up to the present, the work at home focusing on releasing the teaching-experiment devices, especially the real-experiment devices to the network as sharing resources for the cross-subject and cross-department research, has just started. Concluded from the development of technologies used by international online experiments, the key for the share of experiment resources is to incorporate distributed heterogonous ones into a platform for the interaction with users.After researching the latest progresses of remote experiment platform, this paper proposes a scheme of online experiment platform based on service oriented architecture which is a framework for accessing and integrating the experiments on Internet or Intranet. A group of general service interfaces was defined in this framework and a method of invoking experiment service dynamically was put forward in this paper. A set of interacting policy using XML, with experiment information and data facing experiment customer directly, is also defined in the component of experiment client broker in the framework. Additionally, a logical design of experiment information center is completed.According to the service oriented online experiment platform,taking the online sharing of electronic experiment board called VI 1508 as an example, a prototype of online experiment system is introduced in this paper. In this prototype, web service technologies are applied in the system, and different kinds of experiment resources and assistant resources are integrated. Finally a pressure test on the system is carried on to get the running performance of experiment service in the system,which is proved to be effective, also of great stability and reliability.
