System can allow students at any time, from any place to visit laboratories, thus greatly improving the teaching of flexibility and adaptability. The Virtual Instrument-based Online Experiment System is a Remote Platform using Virtual Instrument Technology and Internet technology. The system based on the Client/Service (C/S) model consisting of five units such as the client station, internet, laboratorial manage server, experiment unit and instrumentation unit, it has good expandability, and security, allowing multi-user, multi experiments simultaneously.The Virtual Instrument Technology is used in the online experimental system, and LabVIEW is chose as the main programming language to realize the "software is the instrument" function. The functions of the traditional instruments such as the digital oscilloscope, the signal generator and the D.C power are realized by Data Acquisition card and designed by software. The data acquirement and transmission are achieved by the server in the system. The data processing is carried out by the client, and the online testing is fulfilled. The experiments for the major in electronic engineering such as analog electronic circuit tests, digital electronic circuit testing, remote control test have been developed in the online system. The system to provide the same experiment with the experimental results is open and advantage. Multi-user and multi-experiment testing is finished in LAN, education website and public website, and the requests of the online experiment are attained, which provides a typical example for the network lab establishment.
