Nowadays, development of science, technology, and particular information technology, are leading the world into Information Society. With the revolutions are developing and updating rapidly, particularly for mobile communication .As a serried high technology industry it is playing a very important role in the situation of modern market economy that can satisfies people to communicate with anyone in anytime and anywhere. Especially in China, mobile communication is developing very well, and the number of subscribers is increasing dramatically.With the increasing of number of subscribers, the competitions between Network Service Providers are getting drastically, and users require higher quality of the communication of systems at the same time .Because of short periods, high speed and fewer experiences, there are some problems in the cell communication networks when they were constructed and extended. The problems usually include: high rates of disconnection, low rates of connection low using rates of frequencies, high failure rates of shifting between configuration of interrupted circuits and real service, big distinctions of service quality between each lines in line groups, etc. To improve the service level and profits of networks, we should do some jobs of optimization for the networks.In the dissertation, the states, development and trends of GSM (Code-Division Multiple Address) wireless network optimization, the failure analysis and adjustment measure are examined. The application of network optimization technologies are discussed by my career experiences.The main contents consist of following several aspects:1. On the basis of the documents, the network optimization work flow and method are described. The network optimization is a long-term engineering across the total process of network development. simultaneously it is a systematic engineering, concluding a series of optimization methods, such as handover optimization, traffic optimization, devices optimization, interference signal analysis and the optimization utilization of funds. The environment of software and hardware is improved in the network optimization. The key works of optimization includes that investigation of current network, collection of data, drafting optimization scheme, implement and detection the optimization scheme. All the courses are continuous and cyclical to insure promoting the network quality and network running keep in the best status.2. The technologies of data collection of GSM wireless network optimization are studied, concluding the contents, instruments and methods of the data collection.3. The methods of failure analysis of GSM wireless network are studied. Several typical kinds of network failure are analyzed, such as dropped call, failure of access, failure of soft-shifting and high FER (Frame Error Rate) etc.4 The experiences of GSM wireless network optimization are summarized, concluding the measure of handover optimization, capacitances optimization, interference optimization and shifting performance. 5. Combining with my career experience, the detection of GSM wireless network and the collection of relative data in the district of ChangChun are implemented, the quality and performance of the network are analyzed, the adjustment scheme is drafted and the optimization report is proposed.In summary, all the related theories, methods and implements proposed in the research into GSM wireless network optimization will guide source reasonable allocation of network optimization, improving environment of running network, and promotion quality of running network, network running keep in the best status. The results are faster response to performance issues, better quality across your network, lower operating costs, and more efficient use of your capital and hardware resources.
