With the development of electron and information technology, computers and controlled calculation, message exchange and information processing cover larger and larger field. The railway transportation is not an exception, the dynamoelectric group of vehicles, high-speed trains, city railway trains and other new locomotives we have developed in recently years demand the high-level in MCU processing information and real-time responsing message. Providing real-time processing, recording and backuping operational data, diagnosing and prompting failures in order that staff on the train can deal with the information, embedded real-time operating system resembles the brain of modern high-speed train.This research subject studies in depth embedded development platform based on VxWorks, on the base of collecting broadly the related literature and works, which relies on the plan of the Scientific and Technical Committee of Shanghai city.On the base of introducing Wind core, system task and development envirment of VxWorks, an embedded hardware platform is brought forward, which has a Compact PCI bus. Then this paper emphasizes on analysis of the performance, architecture and manipulation of Compact PCI.Implementation for CPCI full hot-swap technology and fabrication boot files for target board is presented. Focused on making Board Support Package, this paper primarily researchs Flash and UART drive for target board, which is realized and is represented by program flow diagram.In the end the research work based on VxWorks real-time operating system is concluded and is planned for advance research.
