As a method of person communicate with computer, speech for user is the best manner. At present, the application of speech recognition in embedded system mostly is speech recognition of isolation word based on small vocabulary. The speech control is wildly used in home appliances, toys, intelligent apparatus, mobile telephone and so on. The people is looking forward to more development of continuous speech recognition, accordingly, it can promote speech recognition technology mostly apply to embedded system.On the base of analyzing the theory of speech recognition, in this task, a speech recognition system and speech control system based on ARM and SPCE061A was designed. The dynamic time warping (DTW) technology is adopted to compare the characteristic parameters of speech signal in each other, and recognize the result of speech signal. In the system, the S3C44B0 microprocessor is used as the primary controller and the SPCE061A microcontroller is used to finish the work of speech recognition. During the work, the SPCE061A microcontroller finishes the work of speech recognition, then finish the work of data transmission. The S3C44B0 microprocessor controls the stepped motor to running to one orientation and running to the opposite orientation and stopping.The system not only can recognize isolation word, but also can recognize continuous speech signals. It can do very well in recognizing continuous speech signals. It can achieve very high recognition rates in the work.
