Research On The Simulation Technique Of Human Body's Action In Formation Training

Abstract/Summary:
With the development of simulation and virtual reality technology, virtual human technology has become a hot issue recently. The main goal of virtual human research is to represent the characteristic of geometry and behavior. There are four study fields: geometry modeling, motion control, behavior expression and cognition expression. The first two fields focused on the geometry and behavior of human body, and the others focused on sociality and intelligence. Geometry modeling and motion control technology of virtual human are studied in this dissertation. The main work as follows:Firstly, the geometry modeling of human body was finished. We analyzed the human body structure, and simplified the human skeleton system. The human model with 45 joints was created, combined with human body's skeleton definition in motion capture file format, and we discussed the main virtual human geometry modeling methods. Then a realistic virtual human geometric model with hierarchical modeling method was constructed.Secondly, in motion control technology, this dissertation investigated a variety of motion control methods. The characteristics of the formation actions were studied. Then, the model of human body motion was constructed. The control method of motion capture combined with kinematics was presented and investigated in detail, and we achieved the control of the virtual human's actions.In order to manipulate the motion capture data, motion connection, motion blend, digital signal processing technology and motion retargeting are studied, and then we gave detailed description of the algorithm.Finally, according to the research production of human geometric modeling and motion control, we designed a formation training simulation system based on VC++6.0 and Vega.Simulation and the experimental results showed that, the geometry model of human body was realistic and credible; the method of motion capture combined with kinematics controlled the virtual human effectively and vividly. The formation training simulation system, based on virtual human, can be used as traditional formation training method's assistant and supplementary means. It can help to raise trainees' enthusiasm, and can improve the efficiency and level of training. At the same time, the research of this thesis established the foundation of theory and technique for later related research.
