With the in-depth development of the network technology, the existing B / S model has been unable to meet network information and deal with the massive network data, particularly could'nt meet the development of Web-based spatial information data, multimedia and virtual reality data, three dimensional graphic images , Massive data etc , So it gives network data providers and network data visitors new requirements. This paper presents G/S mode based on a "Digital Earth" platform, to try to resolve the current network data processing problems, and introduce this model to the hydrological System project. On the other hand, as China's continuous development of economic construction, society as a whole regimen of the increasing demands of hydrological data, as development of communications, computer, networking and digital information technology , hydrological data collection, transmission, processing in a fundamental way have Changed. to this issue from the perspective of the computer application, the hydrological data processing and space information technology and computer network technology, to make full use of hydrological data to create a broader space. Third, the maintenance of ecological balance and natural disaster prevention and rescue issue is currently in China and the world faces a major task, from the floods in Chongqing last year to early this year to inter-provincial snowstorm, especially in the last week shocked the world Wenchuan earthquake within a short span of a few minutes, claimed the lives of thousands of people, millions of people homeless and caused grave calamities. The author's choice of this subject and purpose of the study hope to do best efforts In the maintenance of ecological balance and natural disaster prevention and make due contributions to the field. The topic firstly explains what is the G / S model, the relations and comparative with B / S model , the advantages and advanced nature of the G/S model. Secondly identifies the relation of G / S model and space data services platform , space data services platform is the core of G / S model, the current space data service platform is in the initial stage of development, and the "Digital Earth platform" as a kind of space data service platform is the key issue which is studied , and with other space data services platform, it has many characteristics and advantages.Next, the subject achieves a functional design and analysis of the hydrological system's functional requirements and implements based on the B / S model, and summed up the B / S model's strengths and weaknesses, Gives the prerequisite and basis on Comparing the two models, so readers can deepen their understanding of G / S mode. The finally, The topic introduces the "Digital Earth platform" based on G/S model to the hydrological System project in the practical application, makes Google earth as a prototype of "Digital Earth platform". the needs of the Chongqing hydrological System and functional analysis as a background application , Proposed the three development model based on G / S mode , and as a major design and development ideas. In this paper, G/S model with the Chongqing hydrological System project practical applications based on a combination of the hydrological system as a whole framework for analysis and hydrological function modules of the system and function to achieve a detailed analysis and design, Finally, importantly study the interaction and integration of the hydrological basic data(spatial data) and hydrological application data. The topic design overall framework for the hydrological System Development and propose a detailed solution based on G/S model.
