Research On The GIS Application Software Development Methods Based On Feature

With the rapid development of computer technology, the application of GIS in China also has a deep development, in most of areas (such as: forestry, agriculture, electricity, transport, etc.) have established a more comprehensive spatial database. However, due to the basic geographic information system software only provided general functions of spatial data management and analysis, how to combine the areas of business logic to use these spatial data into the current GIS applications become the new hot spots.The application development of GIS is the effective means that the various sectors of business combine with their logic to make full use of the spatial data, and gradually develop in the direction of the industry. However, due to the time of development of GIS application development is very short, and there is a certain specificity and complexity which compare with the general MIS (Management Information System - Management Information System), there is no systematic way of guidance. In this paper, from the characteristics of the GIS application development and based on forestry, have done some research on the analysis and design of combination of the approach of field engineering and domain engineering, and a new methods of GIS application development which based on the components GIS.Specifically speaking, the main contribution of this paper are:⑴Defined the concept of GIS application development and make a analysis of the status and characteristics in domestic, and its existing problems.⑵Based on the deep analysis of the characteristics of the GIS application development and the theory of field engineering, combine with the status that the majority of GIS applications development use the components GIS, proposed a feature-based method of GIS application development, the method is to analysis and design on the combination of application engineering and domain engineering, and to achieve with components GIS.(3)Take the field of forestry as an example, established a tree farm-class examples of GIS applications, based on the application of GIS application-oriented features of the development, and expounded the methods and steps from the needs analysis, the field of modeling system to achieve the system.
