Embedded system is application-oriented and it is becoming one of the most important computer techniques. The hardware and software of embedded system can be reduced and the system must be high performance, reliable, low price and so on. The Intel Corporation released the first micro-processor named 4004 in 1970s which ushered the era of embedded system.The Blackfin DSP is a new generation embedded processor, which is jointly developed by the Analog Device Limited Company (ADI) and Intel. It bases on MSA architecture, which combines a RISC MCU and DSP functionality, Blackfin DSP performs equally well in both signal processing and control application. The thesis uses Blackfin DSP as the core hardware component, LabVIEW Embedded Module for ADI Blackfin Processors as the integrated development environment to design and implement embedded control system, and the emphases are as follows:(1) After comparison of different hardware and software platforms, the thesis constructs an embedded control system based on Blackfin DSP.(2) Based on the Graphical and Data flow language-LabVIEW, the thesis designs different modules of the embedded control system, because of its easy to use and powerful module capabilities; it is more productive to develop such a system than the traditional C approach.(3) After analysis of conventional PID controller and fuzzy controller, the thesis combines these two methods and implements this algorithm in Blackfin DSP.(4) Based on the specifications of the temperature embedded control system, the thesis chooses the corresponding hardware and designs the signal modulate circuit, input and output circuit and the laboratory oven. The thesis uses the embedded control system designed above and the laboratory tank to control the level of this tank, and the results prove the validity and rationality of the control algorithm and the new embedded design method.
