The research on the mechanism of information resources sharing in internet is hot, the emergence of e-book library on the network promoted the sharing of book resources to the very great degree. But only depending an organization or company on collecting e-book resources and providing sharing service, both e-book amount and service ability are lack. Only making sufficiently use of tremendous e-book and service resources on numerous PCs in internet, it is just probable to carry out the overall sharing of e-book resources.This thesis proposes that the essence of resource sharing is resource discovery. However the essence of resource discovery is to organise and manage resource information. We find that only in structural and ordered resource information space, reality of efficient resource discovery is possible. We use classified methord and Dublin Core to describe e-book resources and distribute the metadata to information service node. The information service nodes are organized to layer and structure topology. Through this topology, information service nodes cooperate to provide register service and discovery service of e-book resources each other. Resource discovery requests purposefully query and routes among layers, and improves efficiency. The mechanism carry out the overall sharing of e-book resources in internet. This thesis analyses the performance of the mechanism by means of qualitative analysis simulation. The results indicate that the mechanism has absolute ability, better efficiency in resource discovery and btter extensibility and reliability.Finally, this thesis builds a prototype system about e-book resources sharing in internet.
