Today, varieties of books are increasingly rich and rich. Publishing work in order to succeed, to achieve the desired objective, must be to understand people's purchase behavior. Why persons would choose to buy this book, and not the other one? How the process specifically like? What are the factors, and how these factors play a role, affecting people's purchase behavior?So this paper is to study people's behavior of purchase books. The theories and research results in Consumer Economics and Marketing are introduced into the field of books consumption: to make an entire acquisition process, systematic description and analysis on the purchase behavior.In This paper, the progress of purchase books is divided into three steps: motivation-having, decision-making and buying. And I will make preliminary analysis and description on the steps in the behavior, and analyze what the factors are and how they play an influential role in the progress. Then, based on the above studies, the behavior will be attributed to three models: completely-targeted behavior model, incompletely-targeted behavior model, and no-targeted behavior model.In the finality, the problems requiring further studies are discussed.
